How to get the Birth Certificate of your Child?

Following the pregnancy, all the hospitals issue Birth Notification. Then you have to fill out an application form from the hospital and you will get the Birth Certificate. The cost for this process comes around 50AED. 

The birth certificate that you have obtained now will be in the Arabic language. You can translate it into English to get a Visa. The Arabic version of the birth certificate is also needed at the time of UAE visa processing.

How to get the Birth Certificate Attested?

Now you have got the birth certificate. The next step is to attest the birth certificate and it is also a mandatory requirement. This confirms the authenticity of your birth certificate. This is also required during the time of the UAE residence visa process and also will be helpful in the future run.

You can attest your birth certificates from any of the attestation service providers in UAE. There are many attestation services in UAE and you have to choose the agency carefully as your birth certificate is a valuable asset. 

The birth certificate attestation process works like this:

  1. First process comes with Notary public inspection
  2. Certification from foreign affairs of the motherland
  3. Embassy of motherland certification
  4. Ministry of external affairs certification

Procedures to get UAE Residence Visa for Newborn Child

The UAE government provides online and offline residence visa processing services. It is up to you to choose upon. 

You can visit any typing centres for an offline visa processings. You can visit a typing centre in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or anywhere in UAE according to your convenience. These typing centres process the visa application through foreign affairs and the General Directory of Residency. You will get a message notification on every approval step. 

The Dubai government has also proposed that all visa applications should be processed through Amer centres. Visa processing through Amer centres can be done for Dubai residents only. Another major advantage is that this can be tracked online and offline through the ministry of Home Affairs.

Step 1: Submit your child’s visa application. You can choose any typing centres or Amer centres for submitting this application. You should note that only Dubai citizens can do this through Amer centres 

Step 2: After this, you can submit the application form, the original passport of the child, birth certificate, marriage certificate, and 3 passport size photos to the Residence Division of the Directorate General of Residency and Foreign Affairs.

Step 3: Now you can avail your baby’s passport with the visa. It is your choice to get the baby’s passport with the visa through courier or you can get it stamped. You can get this on the spot. The only thing you need to do is to pay an additional fee for that.

Please note that if you plan to leave the country, the newborn baby won’t be able to leave the country during the processing of the residence visa application.

Fees:

For regular delivery of residence visas, the charge will Dh460. You will receive it in three to four working days.

For urgent delivery, they would charge Dh560 and you can receive it on the same day.
