
How to reach :
To set out on your trekking journey by;
Air – You have to take a flight towards Bhuntar Airport which is 52 km away from Manali. You have to hire a cab towards Manali.
Land – Delhi is the best option to reach Manali by road. You can book a private bus or a private car towards Manali from Delhi. Then upon reaching Manali you can execute your trekking plans.
Things to carry :
You must carry these necessary items for your trekking journey –
- Take along with you three full sleeves warm tops, three to four pairs of waterproof trousers, three to four t-shirts and a pair of flip flops.
- Wear shoes for trekking and carry two pairs of socks.
- Carry a torch, few batteries, a portable charger, a trekking stick, an umbrella and your sunglasses.
- Carry a thermos flask and two 1-litre water bottles and a few dry foods with you.
- Make sure to take your medical kit with you and see a doctor before you go trekking at Pin Parvati Pass.
Best time to visit :
You can visit the Pin Parvati Pass from July to September. The snow melts during August and the regions at Spiti and Lahaul are warmer than the other regions. You might get snowfall if you visit in October early. The days might be comfortable but nights are colder.
Level of difficulty :
One of the most difficult trekking spots is the Pin Parvati Trek. It can be hazardous for life as well so if you are not accustomed to trekking or did not reach the advanced position then you must stay away from this trekking spot. There are tricky turns in every corner of the Pin Parvati Pass.
Reasons to do :
You will see that there are two sides to Pin Parvati Pass, the dry and barren side of Pin Valley and the evergreen region of the Parvati Valley. Trekking through the comparisons of lands you will come across many meadows, forests, streams, glaciers and snow-covered mountain ranges.

About the locals :
You will be led by the mountain trails towards the villages and the locals are majorly Buddhists. They are peace-loving and will sure to amaze you with their gracious hostility. Though according to many the Pin Parvati Pass is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the sacred places to be at. The local shepherds use the meadows for grazing their sheep and cattle. They believe that Lord Shiva meditates at Khirganga in the mountain ranges. There is a kund known as the Parvati kund where you can freshen up for a bit.

The interesting fact of Pin Parvati Pass is the regions of Spiti and Kullu. The barren and dry grounds of Spiti will portray the infertile and deadness whereas like the beautiful life the greenery at Parvati is An amazing side. Spiti is inhabited by the Buddhist Folks and Parvati is inhabited by the Hindu Folks.
